Bio:
Ray Allen was born on July 20, 1975, in Merced, California. After leading his high school basketball team to a state title, Allen attended the University of Connecticut (UConn). He was Big East Player of the Year and a two-time All-American at UConn, averaging over 20 points per game over his final two years. Allen also displayed an incredible shooting stroke by hitting a total of 200 three-pointers over his final two seasons.

Allen was the fifth overall selection of the 1996 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves, but was immediately traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. He quickly established himself as one of the best shooters in basketball. As a rookie he made over 100 three-pointers, and over his career he has had five seasons of over 200 three-pointers made, including an NBA record 269 in the 2005-06 season. Allen spent the first six seasons of his career with the Bucks before being traded to the Seattle Supersonics part-way through the 2002-03 season. He continued to display his shooting talent with Seattle on the West Coast before moving to the East Coast and the Boston Celtics before the start of the 2007-08 season. Allen is a seven-time All-Star and already ranks second all-time in NBA history with 1,920 career three-pointers made. He has a career average of 21.5 points per game and a career free throw percentage of .888.
