Desmond Mason

Desmond Mason (born October 11 1977 in Waxahachie,
Texas) is an NBA basketball player currently
playing for the Milwaukee Bucks.  He is designated
as a swingman, meaning he plays both shooting
guard and small forward.

He was drafted out of Oklahoma State University -
Stillwater|Oklahoma State University by the
Seattle SuperSonics with the 17th pick of the 2000
NBA Draft.  In 2003 he was traded, along with Gary
Payton (basketball)|Gary Payton, to the Bucks for
Ray Allen.

In 2001, he became the first Sonics player in
franchise history to win the NBA.com Slam Dunk
contest.
